Keeping 2,000 enthusiastic participants safe in the 2026 Run 4 Autism was a big job for the team of 35 volunteers who supported the event.
We were delighted to help recognise the volunteer team’s efforts with vouchers from Woodside Bar, Dining and Functions.
The event, which has been running for two years, took place in Bruce Pulman Park in Takanini during Autism Awareness Month.
One of the organisers, Jordan-Lee Ikitule from the Autism Kids Collective, says the purpose of the run is to raise awareness about autism to support families.
“Having 35 volunteers made a huge difference and was absolutely everything to us. We couldn’t run a safe, fun, and inclusive event without them.”
The photos below capture the colour, energy and strong sense of community that made the day so special.
