Wiri Licensing Trust is proud to be part of the 2026 Jammies for June campaign, helping to ensure tamariki who visit Kidz First Children’s Hospital this winter are given a warm pair of pyjamas.
New pyjamas and other winter essentials will also be given to children living in cold damp homes to try to prevent illness in the community.
To meet those goals, the Middlemore Foundation needs 25,000 pairs of pyjamas!
With help from our fabulous customers at Woodside Bar Dining and Functions and a generous $500 donation from the team at Professional Visa Services, we were able to donate 50 pairs of pyjamas to the cause.
Wiri Licensing Trust General Manager Kim Green says keeping children warm through winter is one of the simplest ways to support the health and wellbeing of South Auckland families.
“We know winter can be a tough time for many households, and a warm pair of pyjamas can make a real difference. We are proud to support a campaign that helps tamariki both in hospital and in the wider community.”
Even Woodside’s youngest customers were able to join in supporting the cause by drawing their own special Jammies for June design as part of the restaurant’s colouring competition. The young artists all went in a draw to win a colouring pack.
“It’s a really special year to be part of Jammies for June because it’s 25 years since Kidz First Children’s Hospital opened its doors in South Auckland,” says Kim.
“Over the years it has cared for hundreds of thousands of tamariki, through respiratory illness, rheumatic fever, RSV, and everything winter has thrown at our community.”
